RF micro-needling is a minimally invasive skin procedure that offers significant improvements to the skin with little to no down-time.
This treatment may improve the appearance of:
How does it work?
Micro-needling uses very fine, sterile needles to gently puncture the skin (up to 4.5mm deep) creating microscopic wounds that trigger the skins natural healing response. These punctures also act as micro-channels, through which RF thermal energy is delivered into the depths of the dermis.
The skins healthy healing response produces new and thicker collagen-rich tissue, while the RF energy constricts and tightens the skin on a deeper level, stimulating the production of elastin, collagen and new capillaries.
This procedure is an effective option for those who wish to improve their skin texture, skin tone, and reduce signs of aging. The benefits include firmer, tighter skin, that has a more even texture and tone. The after-effects of this procedure also include skin that is less prone to blemishes, hyperpigmentation and scarring.
Where can it be used?
RF micro-needling is best used on areas such as the face, neck, hands and chest, however, can be used virtually on any area of the body.
How many sessions do you need?
Typically, 4 – 6 sessions spaced 3 – 6 weeks apart are sufficient, however, depending on the severity of the skin condition, you may require more. Annual maintenance treatment is recommended to maintain good results over time.
When will you see results?
You may see results as soon as a few days after your first session, however, results become most apparent 3 – 6 months after your last session, as your skin needs time to produce collagen and fully rebuild itself.
